COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

Building food factories since 1955

More than simply construction our expertise extends to designing innovative solutions for the most complex commercial building projects.
We also provide ambient storage facilities.

A thriving family business with a history of leading the way

Established over 70 years ago, S.A.W. McBride started by building 8' square butcher's cold rooms which led to us providing our own ambient storage facilities.

The company then began manufacturing composite panels, aluminium extruded doors and stainless steel kerbing and expanded into completing construction projects, building food factories and other commercial premises throughout the UK and overseas.

Today S.A.W. McBride continues to go from strength to strength moving into an additional location in a spacious aircraft hangar, equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, where we continue to develop products that are specifically designed to make building easier.

SAW McBride’s storage and warehousing facilities  have achieved a Double A (AA) BRCGS accreditation – the highest grade available under the BRC Global Standards.

This accreditation confirms excellence across food safety, quality management systems, temperature control, hygiene, traceability and operational discipline, with no non-conformances identified during independent audit.

For food and drink manufacturers and retailers, it provides critical assurance that products are stored in a secure, temperature-controlled environment that protects product integrity, shelf life and brand reputation throughout the supply chain.

Sharing the benefits of specialist knowledge and expertise

S.A.W. McBride is equipped to solve any of the challenges faced in construction and food factory building. We understand the importance of finding ways to be faster and more efficient so we can save our customers time and money.

We developed MKERB stainless steel kerbing to significantly reduce the cost of installation.
Our specialist system offers massive time savings for any organisation looking for a quality build quickly and safely.

Today the use of MKERB stainless steel products has expanded into other areas benefitting the construction of a wide variety of commercial premises, factories and offices - even chicken sheds.

Mkerb

MKERB is the only continuous stainless steel kerbing manufactured in lengths of up to 18m - removing the need for multiple welds and piecing together of traditional 3m kerb sections. Using MKERB is proven to provide an 80% saving on man hours.

Mview

MVIEW flush faced, ledge-free stainless steel framed double glazed window units provide an efficient and cost effective solution for any industrial premises with a clean room application where maintaining optimum hygiene standards is critical.

Msolve

MSOLVE products are proven to provide innovative solutions for everything from the simplest to the most complex commercial building requirements. The knowledge gained over the past 50 years means there isn't anything we haven't done or can't do.

We are always willing to share our knowledge and often asked to advise architects and specifiers about the best methods to overcome specialist internal as well as
external construction issues.

So if you think our expertise could help you please get in touch.

At S.A.W. McBride, we believe in protecting the planet through responsible, environmentally friendly practices. For more than 25 years, we’ve worked to reduce our impact and operate in ways that help nature thrive.

Our facilities in Oswestry and Hadnall (MKERB) are powered by renewable energy, including solar panels that generate more electricity than we use each year. We also heat our sites using timber from our own sustainable forest, helping to lower our carbon footprint and promote circular, eco-friendly resource use.

From repurposing existing buildings to minimising waste in our stainless steel kerbing production, we’re proud to be caring for our planet — today and for the future.
